Downsizing in Calgary: What Do You Do With Thirty Years of Stuff?
Downsizing in Calgary means deciding what to do with thirty years of stuff. Here’s a gentle way to sort it, one small round at a time.
I have been proudly selling real estate in Calgary and area since 1985, and my passion for this profession has only grown stronger with time. Throughout my career, I have built my business on strong relationships, resulting in over 70% of my clients returning to work with me or referring me to others.
Recently, I recognized an underserved niche in the market: empty nesters who are looking to downsize. Having experienced the transition myself, I understand the unique challenges and opportunities this demographic faces. This insight inspired me to shift my business focus, and to create a dedicated arm specifically designed to assist empty nesters who are downsizing.
While I could have comfortably maintained my existing repeat and referral business, I chose to embrace this new direction because I believe in filling the gap in services that many in the real estate industry overlook. My extensive experience allows me to offer tailored support and guidance to my clients during this significant life change.
I am incredibly grateful for the trust my clients place in me, and I look forward to continuing to help them navigate the buying and selling process.
Outside of real estate, I maintain a balanced lifestyle by spending time horseback helping friends on their ranches, crafting furniture from barnwood, and, of course, spending as much time as I can with my grandkids. It’s a wonderful blend of work and passion, and I cherish the opportunity to do what I love each day.
I am very grateful for what I have and I believe in giving back to help the community. I do this in 2 specific ways in my business:
